Growing up as the eldest of 4 kids,
I felt that I always had the responsibility of making
sure that the children did all the chores around the
house. Throughout my adult life, I took jobs that dealt
with my organizational skills such as working in the
employment office of the local phone company, conducting
new hire training.
I held many jobs over the years;
assistant to the head of the Marketing Department… Internal
Reconciliation Auditor to ensure all money spent was
indeed business expense...Administrative Manager in
the Sales and Marketing Department. It was here that
I stayed the longest, not only for the challenges of
the position, but because of the team that had been
built. I loved it, and probably would have stayed longer,
but the team left. Things were never the same after
that, so I opted to leave also.
I looked on the Web and didn't find
what I was looking for, but fortunately neither did
my former team. The idea had been brewing for many years
and we were pulled together to form CareerFables.com.
Everything we write, and the way we are building this
company is based on our own experience. I know I bring
to this position everything that I have learned over
the past twenty years. Things I could never put onto
a resume. Things that are a part of me…Jane.
This much I do know, "Remember what
it was like working with friends…I'm doing it again!"
